Working with David has been an absolute pleasure.  We are based out of Texas and David made coordinating an out of town shoot easy.  He is always ready to help weigh in and lend his creative eye to create quality shots that tell the desired narrative. On every job he has done for us he was able to truly capture the character and nature of the spaces in a manner that exceeded our expectations. Beyond the shoot, David is prepared to navigate the flurry of post-production comments to deliver beautiful, quality architectural photography every time.

I work with photographers all over the country on a regular basis and David’s work is consistently the best I’ve seen. His top skill, in my opinion, is translating what the client describes into the photographs he captures, or better! He’s efficient, friendly and extremely talented.

Gensler enjoyed working with David on the Turner Construction photography shoot. He raised the bar with his creative eye and offered great insight to the shoot. It was a very fun and collaborative process and the final photography turned out amazing!  We will certainly look to David’s expertise again in the future.

What really sells our work is photography - it is hugely important. We want to work with someone who makes it easy and we found that in David.  He has been awesome.  He has a way of capturing the overall experiential feel of a space - connecting emotionally to the projects and conveying the essence of the space through photography. It is not easy to do and he does it very well.

Miller House and Garden

“David’s work at the Miller House and Garden demonstrates his fine ability to read, comprehend, and interpret architectural design and spatial flow.  He responds beautifully to the volumes, rhythms, and patterns in his subjects, creating images that offer new perspectives and deeper understanding.”

-Bradley C. Brooks, Director of Historic Resources, Indianapolis Museum of Art

From the perspective of a residential architect, one of our biggest professional challenges is how to convey the character and emotion of the spaces we create to all the people who will never actually see our work. We put our 3-dimensional spaces out there in 2D photography, and hope that some of the spirit we work so hard to create will come through. Finding a photographer whom you can trust to capture this underlying energy of your work is not an easy chore. I have truly found that talent in David Lauer.
